We ask that you have a driver's license and at least a year of solid driving experience at the time of travel. 

Access to public transportation is not widespread in most of the U.S., and you will need to buy a car upon arrival in the U.S. and be able to drive. For your safety and the safety of others, you should not only have a driver's license, but also know how to drive well. If you do not have a driver's license or know how to drive well, we recommend that you wait until you meet this requirement before applying.
